Dry sand is used in various areas of construction as well as in dry building mixes, which, together with our sand, have been repeatedly tested in laboratory conditions, as well as directly on construction sites with excellent results. For constant quality control of our products, we have created our own physical and chemical laboratory. The tared sand we offer is washed, dust-free and does not exceed 1-2% humidity.
Fractionation of sand in Kiev
Metcemprom also carries out the fractionation process. Dry sand passes through several sieves on a screen and is divided into different fractions. The grain size is determined by the sieve cell through which the sand is sieved. We start the process with a sieve with the largest cell (for example, 2.5 - 5.0 mm), then the sand falls on a sieve with a smaller cell, where grains of 1.0 - 2.0 mm are sown. Then even smaller - 0.8 - 1.2 mm, etc. We have different sieves and therefore have different sand fractions.
Packing sand into containers after fractionation
After fractionation, we dose the sand and pack it.
We pack dry sand by 1 ton into a Big-Bag with polyethylene liners. In this form, sand goes on sale to our warehouses, where we always keep stocks of packed sand.

The use of sand (quartz) fractionated
Different fractions of sand in Ukraine have different purposes and applications. For example, fine sand (fraction 0.1 - 0.4 mm) is used in the construction industry as well as in the production of glass and glass containers, larger fractions (0.4 - 0.8 mm, 0.8 - 1.2 mm) are often used as fillers for cleaning filters.
